ASDAN

ASDAN is the awarding body that accredits and quality assures the Teen Awareness courses. ASDAN has worked with Teen Awareness since July 2006 when they registered with ASDAN to deliver the baby sitting course.

ASDAN provides Awards and Qualifications to over 4,500 organisations across the UK and also has many overseas links, including New Zealand, the Cayman Islands, Saudi Arabia and other countries.

ASDAN quality assures Teen Awareness by closely linking with Anita Taylor (the internal moderator) and scrutinising the portfolios that students submit. Following this the portfolios are externally moderated and passed for certification to ASDAN. Upon completion the credit rated certificates can then offer progression routes to other ASDAN Awards and Qualifications at higher levels and in some cases contribute to national performance indicators and school league tables

The work that students complete can be added to various Awards and qualifications that ASDAN provide to schools.

These are:

• Bronze/Silver Award
• FE Award
• Certificate of Personal Effectiveness at level 1 and 2
