Bullying

Bullying is something that takes place in every school, a lot of people are bullied at some point in their life, bullying can even happen to people when they become an adult. It is something that happens and can be dealt with, don’t worry because there is help!

If you think that bullying is something that is done by using physical force you would be right but there are other forms of bullying which you may not realise you are doing to somebody or having done to yourself:

  • Verbal – somebody is calling you names or saying racist remarks.
  • Indirect – somebody who spreads rumours or tries to exclude you from social groups)
  • Physical – the most recognized form of bullying, if somebody is hitting or kicking you.
  • Threatening – when somebody is stealing from you or threatening you in another way, this can be if they are sending u emails or text messages.

If you are one of the many people in the UK who do get bullied and suffer from these kind of bullying tactics then read this website for what to do and how to get help, we will also suggest other places for help if you feel you cant tell anybody close to you what is going on. The hardest part of overcoming a bully is telling somebody that you are being bullied.

Problems At Home

There are loads of problems which young people face on a daily basis in the home, different people react to the same problems in a different way, some people are able to cope with problems better than others, some people need support more than others but the important thing to remember is that everybody needs help from time to time, people say that a problem shared is a problem halved, meaning that you can face up to a problem easier if you talk to somebody it, so why not do it now, ask Nina a question, you don’t have to leave your name and SHE WILL LISTEN AND REPLY TO YOUR CONCERN!!!

Abuse

It is hard to believe that today we are still hearing about young people and children who are being abused in their own home. The vast majority of young people are brought up in a loving and friendly environment, but there are a small percentage of young people who are still targeted by the parents for abuse.

Abuse can take place in different ways, physical, verbal, and sexually, many people would never believe that such a thing would happen in their street, town or village but it does.

If you are suffering from any form of abuse you should contact childline 0800 11 11, Nina or any School Teacher, they can help you and put you in contact with somebody who can sort the problem out.

If you know of somebody who is being abused you too can contact one of the agencies above, they are there to help all young people, not just those who are suffering. You will be a true friend by helping them, not by standing by and pretending that everything is ok.

If you are suffering from abuse it is important to understand that YOU ARE NOT IN THE WRONG!, ITS NOT YOUR FAULT!, don’t think that you are on your own, it is best to tell a parent, teacher or at least a friend, that is the hardest step to take. Once you have done that you will be on your way to overcoming the abuse. You have the right to be safe, just as any other child or young person does, so get in touch and tell somebody what is going happening, don’t give up!

You do need to be careful when you ask somebody if they are being abused, its not the kind if thing that you would want somebody to know. Try and talk to your friend, encourage them to talk about what is happening, that is the first step to getting them to help themselves.
